Why the new Digg comment system sucks.

This really isn't going to be a typical blog post about something of this nature. Generally you'd find me ranting off about ten different things to prove a point, or listing off a random number of facts, but I'm really just going to say a couple things and provide the more important evidence: screenshots.

Other than the fact that Digg's new comment system is fairly confusing, it takes a lot of time to load the pages (javascript and server-side), and it's really annoying to click multiple times to see comments you might or might not want to see, I think that it may be able to take a turn for the good with a little team-work.

The digg community is filled with a very large amount of ranting and flame-wars. We've actually been asking for threaded comments for a while now. But now that they actually exist, what am I seeing all over the site? Just take a look- It's really like a bunch of retards running around and ruining it for everyone. Why does the comment system suck? Just take a look here:

As you can see in the pictures, It's going to take a little bit of work to improve this new comment system on Digg. The work doesn't need to be done by Digg's staff.
